As this is my first blog post. I am little confuse how to start my Blog.
But finally! I got the subject in which i am interested and i hope you will also enjoy

I lived in Maharashtra. In Maharashtra there are many colorful festivals, music and dance, heritage and culture, food and cuisines. So first thing comes in our mind that what type of cloths they are wearing?
So, in Maharashtra Women's wear (in city) Saree and Men's wear pant and shirt,
(in village) women's wear saree in village called it as a (Lugade). And men's wear Dhoti and topi.
Language
Mother tongue of Maharashtra is Marathi. For instance, in the northwest parts of Maharashtra, Ahirani dialect is spoken.
As you move the south konkan, you will hear many people speaking in Malvani- a dialect of Konkani. Then the Varhadi dialect can be heard from the people of Vidarbha region. However, whatever be region that you visit or the language that you hear,
the hospitality offered by the people of Maharashtra will remain the same, now and always!
Foood
Distinctly Maharashtrian dishes include pitla, bhakri, bharleli vangi, ukdiche modak, aluchi patal bhaji, Thalipeeth, pav bhaji, Puran Poli, Shrikhand, Basundi, vada pav, nashik chi misal pav, and Mumbai chaat. Puneri missal, Nagpuri sambar vada, all these are diligious dishes of Maharashtra.
The Konkan, varadi, Agri and Khandeshi cuisines are popular with tourists. The specialty dishes of Maharashtran cuisines are often strong in pepper and spice with a twist of curry leaves, coconut and peanuts; well-known dishes include Vada pav, Misal pav and Mumbai Chaat and Puneri Missal.
Typical breakfast items include misal, pohe, upma, sheera, sabudana khichadi and thalipeeth.
Festival
Hindu Marathi people celebrate several festivals, these include Gudi Padwam, Ram Navami,
Hanuman jayanti, Narali Pournima, Mangala Gaur, Janmashtami, Ganeshotsav, Kojagiri, Diwali, Khandoba Festival ( Champa shashthi), Makar Sankranti, Shivaratri, and Holi.
Most villages in Maharashtra also have Jatra or Urus in honor of the village deity.
This is the basic information about Maharashtra. In my next Blog we will see city wise culture in Maharashtra.
